The Salty Otter Sports Grill is a family-friendly restaurant and sports bar. We have room for everyone with our main bar, dining area, games room, outdoor patio, and upstairs seating. Bring the family to watch a game, play some games, and enjoy a meal together.
Your Game Day Headquarters
Never miss a moment of the action. We have large-screen TVs throughout the building, so you will always have a clear view of the screen from any table. For big matchups, we turn up the game volume so you can hear the commentary and feel part of the crowd.
We Show All Games
We broadcast both in-market and out-of-market games across all major sports leagues. If there is a game you want to watch, just ask your server and we will find it for you.

College Football Saturdays: Catch all the college games from morning until night.

NFL Sundays: We open at 9:45 AM on Sundays so you can settle in before the first kickoff.

We offer the best prices for beer in Downtown Santa Cruz, starting at just $5. Our selection of 30 draft taps highlights a variety of local and regional breweries.
If you want a refreshing alternative to beer, we proudly pour local cider, including Santa Cruz Ciders' "Don't Make Me Blush." Our beverage menu also includes a selection of red, white, and rosé wines, along with cocktails and mocktails. Drink Specials during game times.

We love your fur babies and even offer a special dog menu just for them! To keep all our guests comfortable and follow local health codes, please keep these guidelines in mind:

Furniture Policy: For health and sanitation reasons, pets are not allowed on the furniture or to sit at the tables. Dogs are not allowed in our upstairs lounge.

While we always love supporting local businesses, managing bulk printing, storage, and shipping ourselves takes a lot of time away from the restaurant. Shopping through Amazon allows you to use your existing account, and your gear will arrive at your door in just two to three days. 📞 Reservations & Large Groups
To book a table for up to 10 people, please call us directly at (831) 200-8069.
If you have a group larger than 10 people, please email rachael@saltyottersportsgrill.com to inquire about a lounge rental. Large groups walking in without a notice require extra staffing to ensure great service, so we kindly ask that you plan and call ahead.
Please note: If we have a good crowd or a big game is on, we will gladly stay open later!
